Using a firing mechanism, the package is lowered by 25 meters, ensuring quiet and safe delivery – from food and drinks to a dozen eggs.

Speed of the drone

They are also capable of covering a distance of approximately 6 air miles.

Drones typically fly at 32 miles per hour, allowing the company to reach customers in under five minutes and keep food hot or cold at its destination.

Carbon footprint

Flytrex drones are also autonomous, meaning no one has to fly them.

The drones are fully electric and leave a lower carbon footprint than traditional delivery models.

Despite the innovative concept, the company has a team of FAA certified drone operators who oversee each delivery to ensure operations run smoothly.

The Flytrex app allows customers to order food from partner restaurants located within the company’s delivery area.

The app’s services are contactless, allowing users to order from the comfort of their own home.

Yariv Bash said the company is targeting suburban markets because it is economically and strategically feasible to serve these areas.

However, he also discussed the process of getting FAA approval to fly drones, saying it’s easier to protect them in suburbs than in urban settings.

“It’s a very delicate process,” Bash said of the FAA clearance process. “Only three companies that focus on delivering drones to homes do what we do.”
