Kevin-Prince Boateng became the first person to hold a metaverse wedding with his partner, Valentina Fradegrada on June 11, steering the platform into an exciting direction for those who have wanted to immerse themselves into virtual worlds.
The Hertha Berlin player decided to utilize new technological innovation for his wedding with model and businesswoman Valentina Fradegrada. Boateng sought out Enzo Miccio in order to organize the big day, which turned into an astounding success.
The happy couple tied the knot on June 11 in an unforgettable event that was live and later virtual. The live wedding occurred in Tuscany, Italy, alongside their loved ones. German site Spox reported that their virtual wedding on the moon was attended by fans.
The metaverse moon wedding was a huge hit with attendees, who each paid 50 euros for the experience.
“I wanted something special for Valentina, something that has never existed before,” explained Boateng. “Thanks to OVER, we can celebrate our love like no one has done before, in a space location.”
This wedding had a truly unique and creative approach. Wedding organizer Enzo Miccio helped the event come together into a success, sharing photos of the wedding on Instagram and explaining his process.
“Imagine putting together a slightly crazy wedding planner who loves challenges and Over the Reality (the decentralized platform for the AR metaverse) and the love that unites two people such as soccer star Kevin-Prince Boateng and Valentina Fradegrada – famous influencer, entrepreneur, DJ, and five-time Wushu Kung Fu champion,” he said.
The couple wanted to make their special day even more unique and had searched high and low for a space that would suit them. They eventually found the solution in the metaverse.
“The collaboration between us and OVER has given life to a personalized location created entirely with 3D technology,” said the organizer. “The couple, however, also wanted their fans to participate in their wedding. And so it will be. In fact, all participants will be able to access it through an exclusive NFT.”
The metaverse wedding was a spectacular event that brought together people from all over the world, including Miccio’s virtual avatar and the couple’s pet dogs.
