Since the NFT boom last year, celebrities have been getting into cryptocurrency and this time it’s Cristiano Ronaldo who recently joined Binance to promote their new non-fungible token (NFT) deal.
This partnership will likely give them even more exposure as they continue pushing forward with developing blockchain technology for use by major companies around the world.

The world’s most famous footballer, Ronaldo is set to have an exclusive collection on Binance. This has been revealed just days before his announced release date. The items in this NFT marketplace will be limited and released exclusively through the Binance NFT marketplace.
The expected date for the NFTs are yet to be announced but it is believed to go on sale later this year.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to increase his brand value by adding NFT tokens is likely going to bring Binance more success.
“Together, we’ll give you the opportunity to own an iconic piece of sports history,” wrote the Manchester United forward. “My relationship with the fans is very important to me, so the idea of bringing unprecedented experiences and access through this NFT platform is something that I wanted to be a part of.”
Ronaldo has teamed up with Binance, just weeks after the company announced that they will be sponsoring The Weeknd’s upcoming world tour.
The CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao has spoken out about the soccer star’s accomplishment in his sport and praised him for doing something that not many people can say they’ve done, saying that Ronaldo has “gone beyond sports to become an idol in many areas.”
“He has amassed one of the world’s most dedicated fan bases through his authenticity, talent, and charity work,” said Zhao.
The Binance team is eager to give fans of Cristiano Ronaldo “unique opportunities to interact with Ronaldo.”
Last year, a Ronaldo NFT went up for auction on the fantasy marketplace platform Sorare and sold out to a buyer at the tame price of $400,000 despite people’s expectations that it would reach $1 million.
Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most decorated players in soccer history, having debuted at Sporting CP before taking Europe by storm when he joined Manchester United. However it’s with Real Madrid where his success has been greatest and they are home to more than a few individual awards.
Ronaldo is back in the United Kingdom, helping his former club rebuild themselves to become one of England’s top teams again.
