Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has released its first trailer, giving fans a taste of what lies ahead in the MCU.
Like most trailers, the Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer raised a lot of excitement and questions:
- What happened to Janet Van Dyne in the Quantum Realm?
- Who does Bill Murray play?
- What does Kang want?
The Ant-Man and the Wasp trailer
The trailer continues a trend seen in Phase 4 projects, with the world picking up after the Avengers saved the universe from Thanos.
While Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) relishes his newfound celebrity status, he is still mistaken for Spider-Man.
However, things suddenly go downhill for Scott and the Ant-Man family.
Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton) experiments with a way to contact the Quantum Realm.
Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) tries to stop her attempts, aware of the danger it brings.
Before they can stop, the family gets sucked into the Quantum Realm.
The first trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania shows that most of the film happens in the Quantum Realm.
We also meet Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror (albeit a variant from the Loki series) and see Cassie Lang join her father in a battle.

Janet Van Dyne and the Quantum Realm
Janet Van Dyne was trapped in the Quantum Realm before the second movie and has been through a lot while stuck.
Her time in the Quantum Realm remains a mystery with secrets that not even Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) knows.
When she discovers Cassie’s attempts, she tries to stop her from making a big mistake.
The film explores what happened to Janet Van Dyne in the Quantum Realm.
Bill Murray
Veteran comedian Bill Murray joins the MCU as Krylar.
Krylar’s inclusion in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is a surprise because he has only appeared once in the comics.
Surprisingly, his appearance was not in an Ant-Man comic but in The Incredible Hulk.
However, the appearance of Bill Murray opens up many questions about Janet Van Dyne’s past.
His connection with her will provide details about her time in the Quantum Realm.
Kang the Conqueror
Jonathan Majors first appeared as a Kang variant called He Who Remains.
Though his character was the least evil of his variants, Kang’s appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania promises something foreboding for the Ant-Man family.
In the trailer, Kang offers to help Ant-Man return to his world if he helps him steal something.
Their heist could open the door to an eventual Phase 5 showdown between Kang and the Avengers.
