The CEO of Worldwide Consumer for Amazon, Dave Clark announced his resignation on the 1st of July. Speculations came about as to what he might be doing next but it has recently been reported that he will be start-up Flexport’s next CEO.
Flexport announced that Clark would take over as CEO on September 1st, while founder and current CEO Peterson will become executive chairman in March 2023.
The company has yet to name a successor, but CEO Andy Jassy shared that they would provide an update in the coming weeks.
Flexport is excited to announce that Dave Clark has joined the team. He previously built Amazon’s warehouse network, which now covers nearly every corner of the country. In just over two decades with Amazon, he played an integral role in building their vast supply chain infrastructure from scratch. He will now be bringing profound expertise relevant to Flexports’ mission.
Clark is a key player in Amazon’s transportation arm, which has now produced fleets of planes and trucks. The company’s delivery vans rely less on outside carriers like UPS or the USPS.
The former CEO of Amazon is one among the most important executives in this company. He reported directly to Andy Jassy. But the last few years have seen plenty more challenges with increasing demands brought on by the onset of the pandemic.
Clark’s decision to work for Flexport can be attributed not only to the company’s mission of integrating technology, but also their ability. They are solving real-world problems that many other companies face today with ground-breaking solutions.

Flexport founder Ryan Peterson is excited about the addition of Dave Clark to their team.
