Air show Hillsboro is aviation happening that will be taking place on the 21st and 22nd of July at Hillsboro Airport. Held annually, this event showcases many amazing aerial displays as well as incredible aircraft.

This year’s Airshow Hillsboro will feature the official arrival of a U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II at the conclusion of a round-the-world trip by two of the aircraft. This will be the first time an F-35 is on display outside of a U.S. Air Force base and the first time Hillsboro Airport has hosted an international jet fighter at its annual Airshow. This year’s Airshow Hillsboro will feature a number of military and civilian aircraft displays, aerobatic performances, helicopter fly-offs, and simulated dogfights.

In addition to military aircraft, Hillsboro Airport will also host civilian aircraft and performance teams from across the country. Civilian performers include the Red Bull Air Force, Sean D. Tucker & Team Oracle, Patriot Parachute Team, Bill Stein Airshows in Extra 330SC, and Sean Tucker in the Jet RV-7.

Additionally, Hillsboro Airport will welcome several private jet aircraft for Business Aviation, including the Boeing Business Jet (B-737) and the Citation Jet (Citation Excel). The airport will also host a Military Appreciation Rally during their annual Military Appreciation Week.

The Hillsboro Air Show lasts approximately two hours. Gates open at 9 a.m. and the show begins at 10 a.m. The show ends around 12 p.m., depending on the number of aircraft that will be on display during one of the day’s performances. This year, the event will feature six performances that will last approximately two hours. How do I get to the Air Show Hillsboro?

If you are taking the MAX to the Air Show, exit at E. Washington Street Station and walk one block west to Hillsboro Stadium. If you are taking the bus to the show, C-Tran will be providing service from their downtown and northside transit centers.

This year, Hillsboro Airport is providing a shuttle bus service that will be available at Milton Road in Hillsboro and also stops at the Brookwood Village area of Beaverton. The bus service is free and on a first-come, first-served basis. Buses will run from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., every 20 minutes, and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., every 30 minutes.

Where should I park?

Parking is free and attendees are encouraged to carpool since there is limited space available. There are three levels of parking available at the Hillsboro Airport. Please note that all vehicles must display a valid driver’s license to enter the parking lot. The parking lot is located on Airport Drive and the MAX station is located one block away.

You will have an opportunity to see the jet up close as it taxis to a hangar and you will also be able to take photos as it pulls into the airport.

Lastly, The Air Force One Experience is sponsored by local aviation company Alitas Aviation. This package is limited to just 50 tickets and includes an aircraft tour of the county where the jet will be repainted.

What do I need to bring?

You must be at least 10 years old to enter the Air Show Hillsboro. Children under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 10-12 must have a ticket and are free. Under the age of 10 children must have a ticket but are free. You must bring your own picnic basket or cooler and blankets or lawn chairs in order to sit on the grass. Pets are not allowed at this event.

Air Show Hillsboro is an all-day event, so be sure to pack a lunch. There will also be food and beverages available for purchase before each performance, however, you are encouraged to bring your own water bottle.

Yes. The Hillsboro Airport has provided portable, non-potable restroom facilities for our guests. These facilities use a green low flush toilet that produces no odor or waste and is designed for portability, long-term storage, and easy clean-up.
